Younger generations tend to be more concerned about the lack of news about race relations in the United States, with 59 percent of Americans under 30 years old believing that there is too little news coverage on the subject. In the aftermath of the protests following the death of George Floyd, a survey among American adults found that the majority of young adults were critical of the level of news media coverage given to race relations. Conversely, just 22 percent of adults over the age of 65 felt that too little attention was paid to race, along with 28 percent of adults aged 50 to 64 years old.
