Except for people aged 75 years and older, the share of people affected by depressive symptoms has tended to increase in France since 2014. The most significant growth was recorded by the years age group. The share of people suffering from depressive symptoms in this age range rose indeed from *** percent in 2014 to ** percent in Mai 2020. Such growth could be partly explained by the Covid-19 pandemic, which constrained young people to review their everyday life.
