As of February 2024, less than ** percent of internet users surveyed in Mexico and aged 55 years and over said they accessed news on WhatsApp. Among respondents from the 18-24 age group, the share stood at ** percent. The reliance on Facebook as a news source in Mexico was also lower among internet users aged 18 to 24.
