Perception of own state of health in Brazil 2013-2023
As of 2023, approximately six percent of the adult population in Brazil claimed to have a poor state of health, the highest value reported during the observed period. Two years prior, the share of Brazilian adults who assessed their health status as bad or very bad was around 4.7 percent. Moreover, this negative self-perception of the health condition was more pronounced among women than men in the South American country.
