In 2023, nearly ** percent of adults in Brazil were diagnosed with hypertension. By gender, when asked if they have been diagnosed with hypertension by a doctor, over ** percent of women respondents answered affirmatively, up from ** percent of the women surveyed two years earlier. This figure was higher than the share of Brazilian males who stated to have been diagnosed with hypertension, which attained around **** percent in 2023.
