According to the body mass index (BMI) computed by the source with the weight and height of the respondents, nearly *** out of ten Brazilian female respondents were considered overweight (BMI≥25kg/m2) in 2023, up from ** percent of the women surveyed two years earlier. This figure was lower than the share of male respondents who had overweight that year, which attained over ** percent. As of 2023, the percentage of overweight adults reached around **** percent in the South American country.
