As of 2023, approximately **** percent of Brazilian adults had been diagnosed with diabetes. By gender, when asked if they were diagnosed with this metabolic disorder, around ** percent of female respondents answered affirmatively, up from about *** percent of the women surveyed two years prior. This figure was higher than the share of male adults who claimed to have diabetes mellitus in Brazil, which totaled roughly **** percent in 2023.
