The Horizont Creative Radar, which gives an overview of the current ranking of German agencies based on a creative point system, takes into account the results of the 16 most prestigious national and international awards. Depending on the relevance of the specific award, points are given ranging from 8 to 2. The Cannes Lions were given the highest points, 8.

Calculations were made as follows: Grand Prix awards and best-of-show-awards were given 8 points, winners of Gold were given 6, winners of silver 4 and winners of bronze 2 points. Special awards were also given 2 points. These points were then multiplied with those given to the respective award ceremony. If an award show only declared winners, those were given 6 points. Generally, only German agencies were taken into account.

Award ceremonies were given the following points: Cannes Lions (8 points); ADC (6 points); D&AD Global Awards (6 points); London International Awards (6 points); One Show (6 points); Eurobest (4 points); Clio Awards (4 points); Facebook Awards (4 points); New York Festivals International Advertising Awards (4 points); Webby Awards (4 points); Deutscher Dialogmarketing Preis (2 points); Deutscher Digital Award (2 points); Die Klappe (2 points); New Media Award (2 points); Radio Advertising Award (2 points); Spotlight (2 points).
