In 2023, onshore and offshore wind energy contributed a combined **** percent to the German energy mix, more than half of the rest of renewable sources combined. All renewable sources combined accounted for ** percent of the total energy mix in Germany. The contribution of wind power to the German energy mix presented a trend of growth over the years in consideration. Offshore wind power started contributing to the energy mix from 2013 onwards, but made up a significantly smaller share than onshore wind power.
