Swish was second in the ranking with over ** percent of respondents preferring it.

Debit and credit card use

The usage rate of debit cards in Sweden remained relatively stable between 2010 and 2020. Over the course of this decade, the number of debit card users had fluctuated between ** and ** percent. Conversely, the share of Swedes using credit cards had spiked from about ** percent in 2018 to roughly ** percent in 2020.

Swish

The mobile payment system known as Swish is a Swedish application, which has become beloved and used by many consumers in Sweden. In fact, there were over over *** million Swish accounts in Sweden as of March 2021, *** million of which were private accounts, a considerable increase over previous years.
