This statistic reflects the evolution of the number of people who followed the competitions held in the different editions of Gamergy in Spain between 2014 and 2021. Since its first edition, its audience has experienced a continuous upward trend that was reflected in June 2019. Thus, between in-person visitors and those who watched the competitions online, the tenth edition of the fair exceeded ** million viewers. However, this figure includes the views from YouTubers who participated in the second edition of the Stars Battle Royale and who were encouraged to broadcast live from their gaming stations. In the case of 2021, the first edition with an in-person audience since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, around *** million viewers were recorded.
Gamergy is jointly organized by the Professional Video Game League (LVP) and the Madrid Fair Institution (IFEMA). The fair, considered the largest national event dedicated to multiplayer video games and esports, is held every six months.
