In a February 2024 survey conducted among Australians regarding artificial intelligence (AI) regulations, almost ** percent of respondents said that preventing dangerous and catastrophic outcomes from AI should be a key priority for the Australian government. Around **** percent of those surveyed said they would like the government to ensure AI companies are held liable for any damages they cause.
