In 2024, the majority of surveyed general practitioners (GP) in the United Kingdom reported that their mental wellbeing had declined over the course of the last year. A third indicated that it had declined a little, while for ** percent, their mental wellbeing declined a lot. As of the same year, anxiety, depression and other psychiatric diseases remain the most common cause for sickness absence among the NHS staff in the UK.
