Under the social security scheme, there are three types of insured people, as follows:
Compulsory insured person under Article 33 of the Social Security Act, 1990
 Voluntary insured person under Article 39 of the Social Security Act, 1990
Informal or freelance workers (voluntary insured person) under Article 40 of the Social Security Act 1990
A person covered under the Social Security Act is an employee over the age of 15 and less than 60 who contributes to receiving benefits.  A person who reaches the age of sixty and has been employed by the employer under this Act will be considered an insured.
An employee under section 39 who is an insured person under section 33 and has paid contributions for not less than 12 months. The employee must notify the Social Security Office within six months and submit a contribution to the fund within the 15th of the following month.
