Original question: "Using any number from 0 to 10, where 0 is the worst hospice care possible and 10 is the best hospice care possible, what number would you use to rate your family member’s hospice care?"
The CAHPS (Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) hospice survey assesses the experiences of patients and their primary informal caregivers (friends or family) after the patient’s death (usually 2 months). Hospices may be exempt from taking part in the CAHPS survey if they had fewer than 50 survey-eligible decedents or caregivers during the "reference period".
