Distribution of leading forms of bribery in Nigeria 2023
According to a survey conducted in Nigeria in 2023, cash and money transfer were the predominant means by which people paid bribes in Nigeria. Around 95 percent of the survey respondents indicated that they used this method to settle bribe payments. Also, about 16 percent of the respondents revealed that they gave food and drink as a bribe in exchange for a service. Animals and valuables were other means of bribe settlement in the country.
