Ability to recognize AI-generated voice messages global 2023, by country
An April 2023 survey of internet users worldwide found that ** percent of respondents said they would not be able to tell whether a voice message was generated with AI or not. A similar share of respondents didn't know if they would recognize an AI-generated voice note. While Japanese internet users were most confident in recognizing the fake messages, users in Germany were the least confident.
