Between July and December 2024, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) reported 313,917 instances of child abuse on X (formerly Twitter), of which 45,616 were automated and 268,301 were manually submitted. Overall, 1.8 million accounts on X were suspended for reasons of child safety, and over 2,000 pieces of content were removed.
