In 2023, 42 percent of adults in the United States aged 18 to 29 reported that they got as much sleep as they needed. In comparison, in 2001, around 35 percent of those aged 18 to 29 stated they got as much sleep as they needed. From 2001 to 2023, adults aged 65 years and older were more likely to report getting sufficient sleep than younger adults.
