During the first round of the French legislative elections in 2024, around ** percent of the registered voters did not vote. However, abstention varied depending on age groups. For instance, abstention was higher among youth compared to older age groups. Indeed, almost ** percent of voters aged 25-34 did not vote, while voters aged 70 and older were only ** percent to abstain.Â
