According to the Parliament’s rules of procedure, a political group shall consist of at least 23 Members elected in at least seven Member States.

In the June 2024 European elections, Renew Europe won two of the nine seats available in Slovenia, with the center-right European People's Party winning the most seats with five. The Socialists and Democrats and the Greens completed the top four with one seat each.
