Respondents came from national samples from each country. The quota approach was employed to ensure that the sample was representative of gender and age.

Citation formats

According to a 2023 survey, the majority of respondents drove cars powered by petrol or diesel. The fuel type mix, however, varied in different countries. While ** percent of Mexican drivers relied on petrol-powered cars, Austrian drivers reported nearly an equal split between petrol- and diesel-powered cars.
