Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) carbon prices were U.S. dollars per metric ton of carbon dioxide equivalent (USD/tCOâ‚‚e) on April 1, 2025, an increase when compared with the same period the previous year. The RGGI is a cooperative, market-based program among the states of Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont, that sets a cap to reduce power sector emissions.
