A 2023 survey in the United Kingdom explored public perception of brands that sponsor women's sport. Just under ** percent of respondents stated that they would feel more positively about a sponsoring brand that addressed the inequality of opportunities provided to women and girls in grassroots sports. Meanwhile, just over ** percent of respondents claimed that they would feel more negatively about a brand sponsorship that reportedly paid female athletes more than male athletes.
