In 2023, a survey found that ** percent of surveyed adults in the United Kingdom stated that journalists spin the news and therefore they do not trust the news. Mistrust in the news was also widespread for other reasons, such as concerns about misreporting and false news. More than in *** respondents believed that there is corruption in the media industry. In fact, ** percent of the surveyed even believed that there are conspiracies in the industry with the aim to hide things. Only percent stated that they trust the news fully.
