Walking slightly gained in importance as a primary mode of transport for commuting in Nordic capitals after the COVID-19 pandemic as compared to before the pandemic. Helsinki and Stockholm residents are most likely to walk to work or to their studies, with **** percent of the respondents to a 2022 survey indicating that this was their primary mode of transport for commuting.
