As of July 2023, the largest developing onshore wind power plant in Italy was the Monte Grighine located in Sardinia, with a capacity of 158.9 megawatts. In second place was the Montaratro Wind Farm in Apulia. With a capacity of 121.90 megawatts, the project intends to become operational in 2025.
