The Whitla Wind Project, located in the province of Alberta, was the largest onshore wind farm in Canada as of July 2023. The wind farm has an operating capacity of 352.8 gigawatts and it is closely followed by the Riviere du Moulin wind farm, which has a capacity of roughly 350 megawatts.
