Respondents were asked "To what extent do you feel free to express your opinion on the performance of the government, such as in the various social networks or forums? – to a great extent, to some extent, not so much and not at all, or do not know or unwilling to give an opinion"

The source notes that during the 2022 survey, some Bedouin communities in the southern district, and Arab towns in the central and Jerusalem districts, were not included in the survey due to difficulties in data collection. Arabs living in the city of Jerusalem itself, were included in the data.

Citation formats

In a survey conducted in 2022, ** percent of Israelis felt they had a high or some degree of freedom to express their opinion on government performance. On the other hand, ** percent did not feel they had this freedom and ** percent did not know or did not want to answer the question. Along gender lines, men were slightly more confident in their right to political free speech in comparison to women.
