In a survey conducted by the Central Bureau of Statistics in Israel in 2022, 40 percent of respondents residing in the city of Be'er Sheva acknowledged a negative change in Israeli democracy in recent years. 43 percent said there was no noticeable change in the country's democracy, while 17 percent said there was a positive change or did not know.
The question for which the respondents had to choose the degree of satisfaction was: "Do you think democracy in Israel has changed in recent years?" with the following scale of choices: positive change or unknown, no change or negative change.
