In a survey conducted in Nigeria in 2020, the opinions on freedom of speech in the country seemed to be rather positive. Some 38 percent of the respondents believed to be completely free to express their thoughts in Nigeria. On the other hand, around 24 percent of the interviewees stated not to be very free to say what they thought.
