As of December 31, 2022, more than three-quarters of scope 1 and 2 emissions-reduction targets approved by the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) limited warming to *** degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels. Meanwhile, about *** percent of SBTi-approved targets aligned with a * degrees Celsius warming pathway. That year, there were over companies with approved science-based emission targets and commitments worldwide.
