There were five possible answers: "One can trust it very much," "One can trust it to some degree," "One cannot really trust it," "One cannot trust it at all," and "I do not use or know that source of information in the first place." The values shown in this statistic represent the combined share of respondents who answered either "One can trust it very much" or "One can trust it to some degree."

In a survey conducted in Japan during fiscal year 2024, more than ** percent of the respondents stated that internet news websites offer trustworthy information with regard to domestic social issues. The share was considerably lower in the case of atomic energy safety.
