According to a survey conducted in Japan during fiscal year 2024, more than ** percent of the respondents used news distribution services of portal websites. The portal website category, which includes news services such as Yahoo News and Google News, was by far the most commonly given answer, followed by news offered by social media operators, such as LINE News.
