A global survey revealed that 63 percent of newsroom executives said text creation had the greatest usage potential as an area where GenAI could be of most help in the newsroom, whereas just 35 percent said the same about content creation. Over 50 percent were already actively using GenAI for text creation, and more than 40 percent were using tools for text correction. GenAI was less actively used for translation but over half of survey respondents felt this would be the biggest way such tools could be of assistance to their newsroom.
