A survey conducted in Japan in December 2022 showed that **** percent of people who were interested in VTubers watched more than hours of VTuber content per week. The word "VTuber" is a short form for "virtual YouTuber" and refers to video content creators that use computer-generated avatars. The term was coined by the Japanese VTuber Kizuna Ai and has also been used for similar content creators of other video platforms.
