Of the ** not operational research reactors in Germany, ** already had their decommission finalized over the past 50 years. A total of ** nuclear facilities were in the decommissioning process or already safely enclosed.
In April 2023, there only nine active nuclear facilities in Germany, of which none was a nuclear power plant.
