In case of a second round in the 2022 presidential elections in which Brazilians had to choose between Lula da Silva and Ciro Gomes, a survey conducted in August 2022 showed that only 30 percent of voters would cast a ballot for Ciro Gomes. More important, almost four out of every ten persons would not vote for any of them, casting a invalid ballot.
