The results of a survey carried out in August 2022 showed that Lula da Silva was the most popular presidential candidate in all Brazilian regions except for the South. There, the candidate of the Workers' Party (PT) had ** percent of the voting intention for the first round of the 2022 presidential elections against ** percent of incumbent President Jair Bolsonaro. The largest difference in voting intention was registered in the Northeast region, where ** percent of respondents intended to vote for Lula against ** who would do so for Bolsonaro.
