Citation formats

After a period of decreasing CET1 ratio in the first half of 2022 caused by weak economic conditions due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the CET1 ratio increased in all observed countries in the last quarter of 2022. Out of the leading EU member states, the banking industry in the Netherlands had the highest common equity tier 1 (CET1) ratio in the first quarter of 2025 with 16.6 percent, while Spain had the lowest with 13.61 percent.
