According to a May 2021 survey of users in the Nordic countries, age played a significant role in users' opinions on data tracking over paid access to online environments. Almost **** in ** users aged 60 or above would prefer paying a fee to access apps or websites, while ** percent of users aged between 18 and 29 would allow data tracking. Few users aged between 40 and 59 stated a preference for allowing data tracking. However, the option of allowing trackers only on favorite apps or websites appeared to be regarded positively across all examined age groups.
