During the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic, 38 percent of journalists worldwide reported that there was more engagement with their stories than usual. When asked what changes in audience engagement occurred during this time, 25 percent of journalists noted that they had received more positive feedback than usual, and that people were more eager to try and provide helpful information.
