In a 2023 survey of Indian journalists, when asked to rate their sense of privacy - specifically regarding whether they felt their posts and activities on social media platforms were being monitored by unknown individuals, about ** percent of female journalists and ** percent of male journalists reported feeling extremely unsafe. Conversely, only percent of male journalists felt very safe, and no female journalists reported feeling very safe.
