A survey exploring perspectives on local news and the coronavirus in the United States in April 2020 revealed that ** percent of Demcorats were concerned about that their local news organization would be affected by the economic downturn caused by the pandemic. Political party identification greatly altered attitudes to this issue, with just **** percent of Republicans expressing a great deal of concern that their local outlet would be impacted.
