Illegal media consumption via social media in France 2019, by age group
The age distribution of the 1,228 French survey participants who declared consuming media via illicit channels on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter or Reddit shows a tendency of younger and middle-aged people to be especially inclined to the illicit use of social media for entertainment.
Only 15 percent of respondents were aged 50 years or older and would use illicit social media channels to consume content, compared to an average of 38 percent of people over 40 are active on social media in general.
