Republicans were more inclined to be concerned that inaccuracies in news are intentional, with 36 percent worried that facts are made up entirely by reporters, a survey from February 2020 found. Across all political parties, the main worry about inaccuracy in news reporting was that the reporter misrepresents facts rather than simply making them up, with 58 percent of Democrats concerned by this.
