An analysis of the top 200 news and politics podcasts considered the podcast production across five markets and found that domestic productions dominated the market in the United States, with 93 percent of top news podcasts in the U.S. produced in the country. Meanwhile, 43 percent of podcasts in the top 200 charts in the United Kingdom and 58 percent of those in Australia were produced internationally.
