A survey conducted in the United Kingdom (UK) in early 2024 on children's news consumption found that music was the most popular news topic among children aged 12 to 15 years old, with ** percent of all respondents saying that they were interested in news about music, singers, and musicians. Respondents aged 15 years were more interested in news about music than their younger peers and also among the most keen to read about serious events happening nationally and internationally, whilst 12-year-olds were more engaged with environmental news than older teens.
