Approximately two months before the constitutional voting was planned to take place in April 2020, representatives the elderly population aged 60 years and above in Russia were most confident that they would participate in the nationwide voting. Nearly 40 percent of young Russians between 18 and 24 years wanted to decide on their participation closer to the plebiscite. The voting was postponed to June and July 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
