On February 28, 2026, when the United States and Israel conducted coordinated joint military strikes on Iran, codenamed "Operation Roaring Lion" (Israel) and "Epic Fury" (U.S.), targeting key officials, military infrastructure, and government facilities, the conflict between the three countries escalated sharply. The strikes hit Tehran, Isfahan, Qom, Karaj, and Kermanshah, and within hours, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was confirmed killed.
